Shopify only lets you edit what’s on screen, one collection at a time, or go through a CSV round-trip. MassCat takes the list as it is.
Copy a column of SKUs or barcodes from Excel, a supplier email or a PDF. MassCat matches every reference, ignores duplicates and tells you exactly what it couldn't find, before anything changes.
Create a collection, add to or remove from existing ones, replace a collection's content, or add and remove tags. Work on whole products or only the variants in your list.
You see the exact change before it runs. Big jobs run in the background with a progress bar, and every change lands in your activity history, where it can be undone safely.
Pick the products once, then choose what happens to them. MassCat only changes what you see in the review. Rules set by you or other apps are kept.
Combine conditions with ALL / ANY logic: inventory, price, compare-at price, tag, vendor, product type, category, product title, SKU or barcode patterns, dates, collections, and your own product or variant metafields. Quick filters like “Out of stock” fill the builder for you.
Start typing and MassCat suggests the tags that already exist in your store. Removing shows only the tags on your selection, with product counts. Only real changes are written: products that already have the tag are left alone.
Bulk edits are scary when you can’t take them back. MassCat shows the exact change before it runs, keeps a full activity history, and reverts only what it changed. Products you edited since are left alone.
